Vera Wang Bridal Fall 2012.

Emma Watson or Sonam Kapoor

Gwyneth Paltrow

Vera Wang just presented her Bridal Collection for Fall 2012 this past Sunday. The silhouettes, ruffles, ruching with beautiful fabrics like chiffon, tulle and organza were just lovely. I know sometimes designers like to shake things up, but come on - BLACK for a wedding? I love black as much as the next person, actually probably more, but for a wedding I would assume a bride would want a happier color since it is supposed to be one of the happiest day of her life. The nude dresses on the other hand would be quite stunning for a wedding (on some people if styled correctly). Personally, I'd like to see these gowns on the red carpet rather than a wedding. I've listed the name of the celebrity underneath the gown I'd like them to wear.

Crown and Crumpet.

Photography: Bonnie Rae Mills, Styling: Ruak Styling, Makeup/Hair: Amy Lawson, Model: Amanda

Hi everyone! These are a few of the pictures from the latest shoot J and I styled. The pictures were taken at Crown & Crumpet. If you live in the Bay Area you might've heard of it; it's a Tea Room in Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco. Coincidentally, the owner was also in the same business as ours. She used to work for Ralph Lauren in London but then moved back to SF and opened this place up. You can just tell from the place that she has an eye for these things. She was so sweet and encouraging about everything! The shoot was definitely interesting, we got there before anyone else and had to wait quite a while. Finally, the owner, came and opened the place up and went to start the day and realized that the refrigerators had stopped working and much of the food had gone bad. She was on the phone the whole time we were preparing for the shoot. We wanted to help out, but there wasn't anything we could do. The place did end up opening for business. Oh and she made tea for us and it was delicious, as it was the
last time we had it!

Blue jeans.

I wanted to do a look with jeans since it's been a little while. We stopped by an empty lot which had a few trucks and I though it'd be fun if we took pictures with them. If I knew we were going to be taking pictures with the trucks, I would've tried to reenact one of my favorite Elle shoots with Erin Wasson, which was taken at a truck stop. We got a lot of looks from people passing by and not to mention people slowing down their cars. It's like they've never seen two girls climbing on trucks and taking photos. ;)

Trying to think just what is next.

Top:Forever 21, Skirt:Forever 21, Boots: Kelsi Dagger, Hat: Target

I have had Knees by Peter and Kerry on repeat for the past three hours now. It's a type of song that makes you daydream about the past, joyful and the not so joyful, events.  The song is invigorating in a strange way. Peter's voice is spellbinding so it makes it tough to stop listening to. What makes the song so great is the lack of numerous instruments, so the focus is on the vocals. Since this song is so mesmerizing, I strongly recommend not listening to this when you're doing your homework, working, or anything that requires your undivided attention.

Nothing Bundt Cakes.

One of my favorite past times is finding to-die-for bakeries. This sadly is not as easy as it sounds because while you would assume that they're in every city - they're not. Also, they are in cities that are located miles and miles away from me. Nothing Bundt Cakes is pretty far from me, but I was going to visit my friend and it was located on the way. Which was perfect! I got three flavors - carrot, lemon, and chocolate chip. The lemon was divine. I don't think I've ever had a better lemon cake in my life. I still dream of it whenever my stomach aches for something sweet.  I took a bite of the chocolate chip and realized it was for my little sister. I say this because she is the fanatic in our family for anything that tastes like sugar on crack. I don't like carrot cake, but my friend Semhar loves it and that's why I got it. They make theirs with pineapple and applesauce which is unusual for carrot cake. But Semhar's  inability to form words after her first bite made me think that it must have been pretty damn good.  I didn't buy a red velvet cake, but there were free samples. Thank god I got to taste it because I am a red velvet maniac. I would've bought it but after I took a bite of the sample I realized it wasn't that great. Sprinkles is still number one in my book...great now I'm going to be thinking that. I would strongly recommend any people in the Bay Area to stop by here and grab yourself a cake and also you know check out Sprinkles as well.

The skirt.

I have been searching far and wide, for over a year now, for a fabulous gold skirt. I was hopelessly doomed to never find the gold skirt (at least one in my price range). However, out of nowhere this week my hunt finally came to an end when I spotted this little number at Forever 21 (seriously you've got to love Forever 21, sometimes they totally know what you want and especially at the price you want).  Just warning you now but you will be seeing this skirt quite often.

My love affair with music.

I was thinking today, while I was doing yoga and listening to music, why I don't post at least once a week about music on this blog. I'm constantly telling friends, family, and strangers at my favorite coffee shop what to listen to, so why not you? At least when I write about my passion for a song it doesn't sound as creepy and stalkerish as in real life. So on that note, (Get it note, and I'm talking about music. Sorry I love bad jokes.) I have decided that I will now start bothering you with my psycho love affair with music. I listen to anything that sounds good, so I will not be discriminating against any genre (well, maybe country which I only listen to in the Summer when I'm not in the right state of mind). To start off this week, I'm going to post Peso by ASAP Rocky. This song has been on repeat in my car for a while now. It's so hypnotizing, and I'm really into rappers who rap slower and sound like they're from the 90s.

Crossroads.

Maxi: H&M, Clutch: H&M, Shoes: Steve Madden, Cuff: Forever 21, Flower Headpiece: Self-made.

We submitted this look for a Crossroads Trading Co. competition. These pictures were taken in May, but with the weather the way it is they could've been taken right now even though it's officially Fall. We couldn't put these up earlier because those were the contest rules, but we didn't win...(boo!!) so we can put them up now (yeh!). Until next time.
