A Neon Sunset.

It's kind of hard to believe, but yes this is a new post. Let's let that sink in for a while. A lot has happened since the last few posts - J and I came back from our 6 month stint in Mumbai - which we have such fond memories of, even the bad days were special because it was our first time living by ourselves and we can't wait to go back. We've worked on a movie, did a photo-shoot series with kids for the first time, started an online styling business with Keaton Row - which is a slow start. So, the need to let out our creative juices flowing, finally brought us back to our old blog. A is really busy right now, so J and I are going to try to keep updating because we feel like we're being productive and it also helps us feel inspired, plus it's just so much fun - we forgot that for a while.

The Devil Inside.

Hey everyone! These pictures are from a shoot we did last month. It was actually a school project for the photographer. She's majoring in photography at the Art Institute of California, SF. We shot at the school for this one, and totally missed our school days! In the first picture the 'top' the model is wearing is made by us...using tulle. We had some extra left over from this and just knotted it all together. Both the models were the photographer's friends and unfortunately we don't remember the makeup artist's name.

Crown and Crumpet.

Hi everyone! These are a few of the pictures from the latest shoot J and I styled. The pictures were taken at Crown & Crumpet. If you live in the Bay Area you might've heard of it; it's a Tea Room in Ghiradelli Square in San Francisco. Coincidentally, the owner was also in the same business as ours. She used to work for Ralph Lauren in London but then moved back to SF and opened this place up. You can just tell from the place that she has an eye for these things. She was so sweet and encouraging about everything! The shoot was definitely interesting, we got there before anyone else and had to wait quite a while. Finally, the owner, came and opened the place up and went to start the day and realized that the refrigerators had stopped working and much of the food had gone bad. She was on the phone the whole time we were preparing for the shoot. We wanted to help out, but there wasn't anything we could do. The place did end up opening for business. Oh and she made tea for us and it was delicious, as it was the
last time we had it!

Emerald City.

This look was inspired by this wall mural, which S&J painted a while back. It's an eclectic look with both traditional Indian and contemporary influences.

Prices: Unfortunately, apart from the green shirt, which is from Target ($9.99), we don't remember the prices for most of these things. Everything on the shoulder is from here. The ring and the jewelry in the hair is from India.

Yearning for some LANVIN love...

15 days until Lanvin finally arrives at H&M! I'm dying in anticipation and keep looking at pictures to satiate my desire, of owning a piece, because I probably won't afford it.

However, the calender's all set and all 3 of us will be going to H&M together, to witness the fabulousness.

A few that I (J) really want or even one would do actually ;-)

La Boîte Rose.

A bright sunny day. A girl finds a box, laying there with a string.

It was a cute box, she decided to take it with her.

But, it was no ordinary box. It had a mind of its own. Floating in this world, following, trying to form a connection.

A mind of its own meant fleeting thoughts. And what's a floating box to do...yes it wanted to go higher. But, it got stuck in a tree. The girl tried to take it down.

The girl was successful and saw that it was safe and sound. She then started pondering, what was inside the box.

The girl opened the box and found a whole picnic, full of cakes, eclairs, champagne...what a find! She decided to rest and partake in the enjoyment of the gifts the box had presented her.

It seemed the box had found what it needed. Somebody to take and appreciate what it had to offer inside.

The girl was satisfied and decided it was time for an afternoon nap.

The box looked over its companion, both satisfied.
