An island of inconsolable misery.

Every breathe I have is cold.
The warmth of this life has left me.
Stranded on a island of inconsolable misery.

There is only one true escape.
Where the darkness turns to light.
The suffering will only stop then.

I know this post seems really dark, but I just wanted to do a shoot that was different and shake things up. I got my inspiration from the song Make Me Wanna Die by The Pretty Reckless. Also just a side note, my little sister took these pictures and she's not even in high school! She's so talented and loves The Pretty Reckless, so she completely understood how I wanted the pictures to look like.

The Pretty Reckless - Make Me Wanna Die

The Pixie and The Wannabe

The Pixie emerges.
She frolics around in the midst of a street full of cars, unaware of the adversity that awaits her.
The Wannabe discreetly approaches the Pixie.
The Pixie, still unaware of The Wannabe's intentions, danced around and waved her magic wand as an antidote to ease everyone's pain.
How long could the kind-hearted Pixie be safe?  She was being kidnapped by The Wannabe, who wanted her magical powers.
The Wannabe sprinkled gold dust all over the Pixie and intoxicated her.
She threw her in a car's trunk.
Poor Pixie was squished in the trunk and left alone in the dungeon where she couldn't be seen or heard by anyone.
She wakes up in a haze and tries to open her eyes.  She gets flashes of what happened to her earlier...the gold dust...the person...intoxication...but now she had regained her senses.
After realizing the gold dust intoxication had worn off, the Pixie makes a great escape from the dungeon and goes on to do what she does best...spread the magic!

Emerald City.

This look was inspired by this wall mural, which S&J painted a while back. It's an eclectic look with both traditional Indian and contemporary influences.

Prices: Unfortunately, apart from the green shirt, which is from Target ($9.99), we don't remember the prices for most of these things. Everything on the shoulder is from here. The ring and the jewelry in the hair is from India.
