Geographer.

Hello guys! So yesterday was one of the most wonderful days of my short life. I got to meet one of my favorite band's lead singer, Michael Deni of Geographer at BFD. I've been a huge fan of this incredibly talented band for over a year now. However, it was Micheal Deni's voice that got me hooked. His voice is indelible, brilliant, and insert any other adjective that means fucking awesome. When I heard Michael Deni live I got chills up and down my body, his voice pierces your soul. I know that was a cheesy thing to say, but it's the truth. I was surrounded by people at BFD and I felt I  really enjoyed the experience that is Michael Deni's voice, it needed to be only me and his voice, so I closed my eyes and instantaneously I was sent to a universe filled with unicorns and rainbows where only marvelous things can happen. In the photo above you see a composed normal looking girl, however that wasn't really the case.

I saw Michal Deni walking through the crowd as me and my friends were headed out to rest, and as soon as I saw him I pounced on him (not literally). I just started saying everything that came to mind like how much I love him, his music, and other things I can't really remember and then shamelessly asked for a hug. Micheal Deni was so sweet and kind and gave me a hug which I really didn't want to end I was seriously contemplating staying like that for the rest of my life.... just kidding.. not really. Unfortunately, I let go and asked for a picture to remember the magical moment. I know I sound like a stalker, but it's just really intense love. On a side note, it's funny how things work. I mean, if my friends didn't want to leave that second we would've never bumped into Michael. You've got to love fate sometimes.

I saw many other bands at BFD which I will talk about later, but I had to dedicate this post to this amazing man with the world's most perfect beard. If you haven't checked out Geographer yet, I would do that right now. Here is their band page.

Take a breath, this will be quick.

I realized today that I haven't been posting music and that's just awful since music is one of the great joys in life. Today's song Catcall's "The World is Ours" is just perfect for listening at the beach, hanging out. I just got this new bag from Asos for school; it's pretty big and can fit my notebooks and books. Also, it's  just so adorable and I love the bright red lining and anchors. If you like it it's on sale! See you soon lovelies!

Someone out of town.

Sweater: H&M, Blouse: Forever 21, Jeans: Marshall's, Boots: Kelsi Dagger, Necklace: Forever 21, Bag: Asos

Lack of posts means life is in the way, but I won't bore you with the details. I'm so happy with the weather lately. It's allowing me to layer and wear my sweaters. This is one of my go-to outfits when I'm rushing out of the house. Its comfortable and chic. My two favorite C words.

In music news: last night I stumbled upon Yuna and it was love at first note! Yuna's voice is soft... just like her lyrics. Her voice is as soothing as a cup of tea. 'Someone Out of Town' is sweet and relatable.  Once you listen to it you will be hooked. =)

My dream is done. I'm still in love.

Sweater: Vintage, Shorts: Forever 21, Flats: Urban Outfitters

The weather has yet to fall to temperatures that I've been hoping for, but I'll take this semi-windy weather. I finally get to debut my new sweater and flats! The sweater has the perfect amount of grandma feel to it for my liking. I love electric blue, so when I saw these flats on sale at Urban I knew I had to have them and the ankle strap was the whipped cream on the sundae.

My current music crush is Wildchild. If you are a fan of She and Him (like me!) then you will  love this band. If you want to immerse yourself in a song and never come back then it has to be their song Pillow Talk. I grabbed my headphones and laid under this warm October sun and turned this song on and let it try and take my troubles fade away.

Lazy Sunday.

Today has been nice and slow, which for me equals a day dedicated to music. Sitting in the park feeling the Fall breeze with Angus and Julia Stone playing in the background is indescribable, but I'll still try. I'm enchanted with people with raspy vocals, so Julia Stone to me is like an angel sent from heaven. Julia Stone has a voice that sends you to a place bursting with flowers and rainbows where no bad can come to you, which is perfect especially before the dreaded Monday. In 'For You' you can feel the emotion of Julia Stone's voice in each word. It pierces your very essence. I honestly can't listen to this song without my heart aching somewhat. Angus and Julia Stone is a perfect addition to your Fall playlist.

BFD

Hey guys! So, today I went to BFD. I just got back and I'm extremely delirious and tired. However, I can't stop thinking about the concert and need to write about the events that transpired or else my thoughts will eat me up. I went with my amazing friend Joana, who has the exact same taste as me when it comes to music (when it comes to men thats a different story altogether, but that's for another day). We arrived early so we could procure ourselves a good spot to see the bands and much to our surprise we found spots right in the front...we were about 5 feet away from the bands!

AWOLNATION was the first band to perform. I was nervous to see them because I was scared Aaron Bruno's voice wouldn't sound as good live. Aaron (yes we are on a first name basis becuase he waved at me during his performance) has raw talent. I could not believe the way he was contorting his voice. Any normal person would've passed out hitting the notes he did, but he didn't. I fell more deeply in love with them after this. I'd also like to give Aaron an A+ on his outfit; it was so chic. He wore a striped blue tee, blue jeans, and red toms. I couldn't find a full picture of him, but that's him with his smoldering eyes while he's singing. =)
Young the Giant went right on after AWOLNATION, so I had no time to recover my voice after screaming like a mad person when AWOLNATION was performing. This group is so CUTE! Seriously every single person in this band is just the bees knees. I could go on and on about how cute they were, but I'll talk about their performance. Sameer Gadhia is the lead singer and does this man know how to sing. I had my eyes closed half the time, so I could really soak in every single lyric he sang. Eric Cannata and Payam Doostzadeh were amazing on the guitar; they were so focused on playing that the whole time they had very serious faces on. Mr. Doostzadeh, while playing, looked at me several times which made my heart melt and I know he might've been looking at my general area, but I like to tell myself he was looking at me. I couldn't find a clear picture of the whole band at BFD, but here is the lead singer Sameer Gadhia.
Foster the People were one of the bands Joana and I came to BFD specially for, so when they came on stage we freaked. Just like Young the Giant every single person in this band was extremely handsome and well dressed. The boys in this band are so talented; they all played several different instruments throughout their performance. I mean I'm impressed when someone knows one instrument, but these guys could play more than three each. The lead singer Mark Foster not only has a unique voice, but quirks as well. Every time Mr. Foster sang he moved his shoulders up and down. It was so adorable I couldn't help but say "Awww".  The band was extremely energetic and it was infectious, so by the end they had the whole crowd jumping around and waving their hands to Pumped Up Kicks. Sadly I could not find any photos of Foster the People at BFD so this will have to do.
P.S. If you are wondering why I didn't have the decency to take photos of the concert. They didn't allow DSLR cameras inside so I was out of luck. All in all I had an amazing time and I would recommend checking all of these bands out! Oh and here's a link I found to pictures etc. if you're interested.

Son of a Gun.

Hola! This post is in celebration of me finding this amazing maxi skirt at Forever 21. I have been looking for one for so long, one that was not too expensive and as usual Forever 21 came through. It's the perfect length; usually maxi skirts and dresses hit me at an awkward length because I'm taller than most people, but this maxi is perfect! I'm so glad maxis are in again because as much as I love mini skirts I prefer the 'flowy' feeling of maxis a lot more. They are to me more feminine and I love twirling around in them. =) What do you guys think maxis or minis?

On a serious note Japan is going through so much pain right now and many are living on rice balls and bread and are receiving very little water. To help the people of Japan, here is a link to The American Red Cross Donate here.  A little can go a long way.

My Mind Keeps Spinning Closer And Closer To The Rain On The Roof.

Hello everyone! So today I tried to do a proper photo shoot, but it started to rain like crazy! So that ruined my plans, but couldn't help but take some photos... especially of my new awesome feather necklace which I freaking love! =) Put on some Mike Posner and enjoyed the rainy day painting my nails. -A

P.S Waka Flocka Flame has now made me end rain, rain, go away with that's what all my haters say.
