I finally spent some of my birthday money and bought some new clothes, so of course that meant time to do a photo shoot! There aren't many stores in my small town, so I went to Marshall's and found this super cute top and amazing shorts. I've been under the weather this week, but it had been too long and we needed to post something a.s.a.p. In other news who watched HP7!? I went to the midnight premiere with my sister and holy moly the crowd; who knew our little town had so many people. All in all a memorable night I shall never forget. =)

A summer of eating.

This summer has endowed me with so much good food. Joana and I tried The Railroad Cafe this week. I ordered a chicken sandwich on sourdough which was delectable. Joana ordered Swedish pancakes, which she swears were some of the best she's ever had in her life. For desert we ordered olallieberry crumble and chocolate cake. It was our first time trying olallieberries, so it was pretty exciting!

The Girl.

Hola amigos! So I know that I haven't formally introduced 'the girl' yet even though she has been in many posts, so here it is - this is one of my closest friends Joana. I love her; she has the same taste in music, fashion (the heels she's wearing are the same as mine... just in a different color), and well basically everything else. Joana is a remarkable guitar player and I've been asking her for a while now to do a photo shoot for the blog and at long last we did it. It was so cute how nervous she was, but she persevered and the end result was these awesome photos! The title of the post is very significant because The Girl by City and Colour is Joana's favorite song in the whole world and funnily enough it was perfect for the post.

The roses come to see me.

I was tired of being in front of the camera, so I asked my sister to let me shoot her. Our journey to find this rose garden entailed falling several times and sweating like crazy. Once we got there my sister didn't realize the flowers were roses and tried to grab them and got cut, but she was a trooper and powered thorugh. Lesson of the day is to always bring a first aid kit when we're taking photos.

Oh my Elie.

At every couture show,  I know I can count on Elie Saab to present the most ethereal gowns. As usual I'm yearning for all the angelic dresses but I found my favorites, as seen above, after admiring the collection for about an hour. Customarily you would see me drooling all over the long gowns, but I liked the shorter ones as well...maybe since it's Summer I'm being influenced by the weather or maybe it's because the dresses are everything I want...you know whatever... :) Couture collections always leave me in awe because of the astounding details. This collection's intricate beading and crystals are what make me long for all of his gowns. My wish is to have Elie Saab design my wedding dress, whenever that happens, because Mr. Saab is a man who knows how to design a remarkable gown.

Long hot Summer days.

These Summer days are so wonderful but so very hot. It's been 100-102 degrees all week so being outside between the hours of 1 to 8 has been difficult. However, I haven't taken a photo shoot in so long so I forced myself to get out of the house. I admit not the best outfit, but I tried to wear as little as possible. :)

Happy Fourth of July!

It was a fun fourth of July today. After watching the show in town Joana and I went to my house and played with sparklers. The photos above are shots while we were waiting for the fireworks.

Birthday wishes.

It was my birthday this past Friday! I was so excited that I decided to celebrate it a few times this week. I'm so glad my birthday is in the Summer, so I don't have to worry about school.

Congratulations Kate Moss!

When I saw Kate Moss' wedding gown I fell in love. The intricate details on the gown are what makes it breathtaking - like the sheer panels and of course the sequins. She paired the gown with a vintage veil which was the cherry on top, but I feel that the topic of discussion won't be the gown but the designer of the gown.
